SUMMARY:

  • We are seeking a PeopleSoft Manager that specializes in leading teams of Functional Business Systems Analysts of up to 7+
  • We are also seeking 5+ PeopleSoft functional BSA’s to grow our expedite our PS updates and implementations
  • Specializing in FSCM Financial or HCM HR Modules explores business processes and user needs, prepares detailed specifications from which programs are written, and maintains existing FSCM/HCM processes and interfaces.
  • This role is a 50/50 blend of hands-on production and team leadership
  • This will be a challenging role with 50+ hour weeks with a heavy production workload and not a lot of work/life balance for the 1st 3 months
  • The BSA will analyze moderate to complex business problems and formulate solutions using subject matter expertise in Finance, Professional Services and FSCM

ROLE:

Strategy:

  • Consult with the business and I.T. management to identify and document needs, objectives, current operational procedures and problems
  • Analyze business functions such as Finance (GL/AR/AP/PO/BI, etc.), Procurement, Payables, and Project Costing
  • Develop solution designs around business needs incorporating configurable solutions while minimizing custom development
  • Analyze, document, review, and receive approval for business functional and non-functional requirements
  • Conduct and complete fit/gap analysis
  • Write and maintain functional specifications for new and modified functions
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.
  • Work with the business to identify test scenarios and translate to specific test cases and corresponding data sets
  • Perform testing to ensure requirements are satisfied by developed/configured solution, and addressing any issues discovered with the development team
  • Track and document changes to functional and business specifications
  • Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures
  • Researches, resolves and documents post-implementation defects and enhancement requests
  • Prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies to assess trends
  • Demonstrate system features, new tools and solution concepts as needed
  • Proactively identify new features and functions to improve business processes
  • Attend and participate (by providing status updates on requirements deliverables) in status meetings
  • Notify management of any issues or target date dependencies

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSCS/MSCS/MBA or equivalent graduate and/or 4-year degree
  • Must have at least 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Management and/or PS Operations Management
  • Strong ERP experience with: PeopleSoft FSCM or HCM Modules including role in one full lifecycle implementation
  • 5+ years of 10% Techno/90% Functional Business Systems Analyst experience 
  • Expertise leading small agile teams up to 7+
  • Extensive functional experience and knowledge in Financial Modules: GL/AP/AR/BI, etc.
  • Additional experience with: PeopleSoft eProcurement, Purchasing, Payables, Project Costing, Cash Management, (CA) Contracts
  • Familiarity with HR Modules (is a plus)
  • PeopleSoft (or related ERPs) FSCM 9.x experience & PeopleTools 8.5x experience
  • Advanced knowledge of finance business practices, business systems design, and process re-engineering
  • Proven ability to evaluate configuration options to leverage PeopleSoft delivered functionality and tools.
  • Technical proficiency with SQL and PS/Query for reviewing data, troubleshooting and testing/validating source system data
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Application Designer and PeopleSoft reporting tools (Query, BI Publisher and nVision)
  • Experience with workcenters, dashboards, workflow, test framework, and pivot grids
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all phases of PeopleSoft development including requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing using, deployment and post implementation support
  • Experience collaborating with Business users, PMO and/or scrum masters to understand the business requirements
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and techniques
  • Strong understanding of a PC, Windows environment
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED (But NOT required):

  • PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 experience with certification
  • PeopleTools 8.53+ experience with PeopleTools I/II training certification
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Project Costing, Asset Management, General Ledger
  • Experience integrating PeopleSoft with non-PeopleSoft Applications
  • Experience with HP Quality Center
  • PMP Certification

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Ability to write functional requirements, use cases, and other analysis/design artifacts effectively (storyboards, screen prototypes, etc.)
  • Experience with interface and database design
  • Experience with the software development life cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be flexible and willing to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Staffing experience desirable
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally
  • Be part of an on-call rotation
