Volt Workforce Solutions has an immediate opening for a HVAC Sales Engineer role located in Peoria, IL and/or the Quad cities for locations.  Any previous experience relating to HVAC is preferred.

The candidate will make sales calls to assigned customer account to understand their business needs and provide the best solution.  Sales calls will include various formats including; lunch and learn presentations, schedule one on one appointment, group meetings, off site customer events, and factory trips. 

The HVAC sales engineer is responsible for exceeding sales quota each year while maximizing profit margins.  Sales quota is given out by the sales manager/regional manager for each sales engineer based on accounts, years of industry experience and ability. 

Provide technical assistance to customers to ensure proper equipment selection and appropriate application to achieve the desired project objective.  Price equipment; develop scope and proposal for equipment selected including any required costs such as options. 

Assist branch manager and other sales engineers to implement marketing strategies to achieve corporate sales goals or market share.  Will be responsible for quarterly market/account development activity to increase local product awareness.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.  Skills with Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and Excel.  Presentation skills to present various presentations on HVAC topics and products.

Ability to make decisions without close supervision. Must be accurate, efficient and capable of handling detailed work assignments.  Proven ability to work independently and self-motivated; also work cooperatively and motivate other associates.  Ability to maintain self-control and complete tasks with frequent interruptions.  Flexibility to adapt to changes in organizational structure and move among departments when necessary.  Maintain respect at all times for confidential information.
