Additive Manufacturing Technician in Burbank, CA at Volt

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Additive Manufacturing Technician is responsible for ensuring that various Additive Manufacturing Machines are always functional and ready to build.

• Setup, operate and maintain a variety of metal 3D printers from metal to plastic
• Order material when it runs low.
• Monitor and record operational information such as functional issues, material consumption rates and build completion dates
• Troubleshoot mechanical, optical laser, electrical, and build issues
• Perform post print operations including powder and support removal, cleaning and part handling
• Follow work orders, procedures, specifications, and test instructions
• Ensure that R&D parts are expedited through the production process
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance
• Provide process improvement feedback and implement solutions
• Assist Engineers with setup and fabrication of new and current 3D printers

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment
• 2+ years of experience operating manufacturing equipment
• Experience with Additive Manufacturing preferred
