Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Additive Manufacturing Technician is responsible for ensuring that various Additive Manufacturing Machines are always functional and ready to build.
- Setup, operate and maintain a variety of metal 3D printers from metal to plastic
- Order material when it runs low.
- Monitor and record operational information such as functional issues, material consumption rates and build completion dates
- Troubleshoot mechanical, optical laser, electrical, and build issues
- Perform post print operations including powder and support removal, cleaning and part handling
- Follow work orders, procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Ensure that R&D parts are expedited through the production process
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance
- Provide process improvement feedback and implement solutions
- Assist Engineers with setup and fabrication of new and current 3D printers
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment
- 2+ years of experience operating manufacturing equipment
- Experience with Additive Manufacturing preferred
