Job Description

VOLT is seeking an Administrative Assistant with ERP software experience in the Bakersfield area. Position is temp to hire, may start off as part time and lead to full time. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8am – 12.00. Pay - $14  

Duties include data entry, emails, telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, keeping office space and other areas supplies replenished, filing, and faxing. Extensive ERP software skills are required, as well as strong communication skills, and does related work as required.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the timely data entry and input of job travelers into ERP systems
  • Enters, updates and verifies data into various systems for use by all personnel.
  • Reviews and verifies data entered on spreadsheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Tracks documents received and completion dates.
  • Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for the company. Retrieves information from files when needed.
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls.
  • Sorts and distributes mail. Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information
  • Answers phones and transfers phone calls to the appropriate department. Takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.
  • Handles confidential and non-routine information.
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • Manage workflow by assigning tasks daily, ensuring that deadlines are met, and work is completed correctly.

Required Experience

  • Knowledge of ERP systems required
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • At least 2 years of Administrative Experience
