ASIC Designer

Estimated 2+ month at $35+/hour

Volt is seeking ASIC Designer for a well known microelectronics manufacturer in Itasca, IL.

You will be working with the microphone manager on a small project to design and develop an ASIC piece.  Immediate opening!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree and preferably 5 years' experience in design.
• Must be familiar with Cadence design tools.
• Experience designing low voltage, low noise mixed-signal/analog circuits in submicron CMOS preferably in audio applications.

• Advanced design experience with or knowledge of the following will be an advantage:
  • Subthreshold mode and other ultra-low voltage (<1V) and low noise techniques.
  • Charge pumps and voltage multipliers.
  • Operational Amplifiers – capacitive and resistive feedback amplifiers.
  • Bandgap Voltage References.
  • Switch-Capacitor circuits.
  • Automatic Gain Control loops.
  • Chopper/Autozero amplifiers.
  • A/D – D/A conversion and Layout.

• Detailed knowledge of 0.18um and below CMOS processes.
• Designing for high volume manufacturing.
• Understanding of RFI/EMI immunity is preferred.
• Experience with digital signal processing will also be a plus.
