Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Assembly Operator for a leader in the Machining Industry in the Poway area.

Installs various types of hardware (studs, standoffs, nurt-certs, etc.) in or on sheet metal parts and electronic components in accordance with furnished blueprints, specifications and L&T workmanship standards.


  • Reviews all documents relating to the job at hand
  • Load parts, studs, standoffs, nut-certs, bolts, screws, wires, enclosures, etc. on shelf or in car
  • Organize and follow assembly line process
  • Selects appropriate tools, attachments, and methods to obtain required result per blueprint and specifications
  • Perform basic setups based on training, process sheet and setup documentation
  • Performs simple assembly processes and installs hardware
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized
  • Daily and weekly maintenance on all machines
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately
  • Technical support or help another team member if necessary under supervision of supervisor
  • Open to overtime
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs


  • Entry level (train)
  • Able to learn from reading documentation and measuring tool devices
  • Able to utilize all air tooling with clear instruction and training
  • Must maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.


  • No direct reports to this position.


  • Some computer skills required to be trained on shop business management system (BMS)
  • Able to read and understand basic engineering blueprints, specifications, process documents and inspection tools
  • Good organizational & communication skills
  • Must establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment and be sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion.


  • While performing duties of this job, the employees is regularly required to stand; use hands, and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hand and arms; and talk to hear
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift and climb balancing
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
