Position Summary

Under the direction of the Operations Manager.  As the Supervisor you lead a team of assemblers responsible for building complex components, while ensuring quality, safety, production, and customer requirements are fulfilled. Provides input to quotations and first article processes.


  • Directs Assembly team, verifying all assemblies meet quality standards, customer and other internal requirements, and ensures that operators conform to documented processes.
  • Assists Assembly team with reading, understanding and following assembly documentation including assembly drawings, work instructions, routers, and lot verification information
  • Coordinates with planning to prioritize daily work load based on delivery commitments, economic lot sizing, and optimal workflow
  • Responsible for training and compliance requirements. Coordinates
  • Manages workflow processes
  • Works with Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate upcoming product designs and requirements to ensure a smooth transition for New Product Introductions (NPI)
  • Leads troubleshooting and root cause analysis of defective products; works with QA staff to ensure adherence to processes, good documentation practices, and product quality requirements
  • Develops KPIs to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes
  • Enforces all safety procedures while working in a Lean 5S environment.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of component level supervising experience, hands on manager working on the production floor.  
  • IPC Certification required
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  •  Experience working within Quality Management systems that comply with the requirements of ISO 9001 /13485 preferred
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven skills in problem solving, interpersonal and multitasking skills in a complex, ever-changing environment, and able to manage priorities and work flow
  • Familiarity with standard concepts / tools including but not limited to Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) and Design / Process Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA)
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office Products, ERP/MRP Systems and CAD software
