Volt has an opening for an Associate Software Engineer for a client in Rancho Cordova, CA. We are looking for someone to work on a Sales Modernization project, working on “Rating” app development team developers tools and APIs that provide rates to the sales teams for quotes, proposals, and renewals. Essential Functions:

  • Work on a Sales Modernization project, working on “Rating” app development team developers tools and APIs that provide rates to the sales teams for quotes, proposals, and renewals
  • Translate user stories into business requirements and technical designs to deliver exceptional simple programs, features and/or modules in a timely and cost – effective manner
  • Participate in design and planning of new features, deliver responsible code, and continue to be active participant throughout testing, and implementation
  • Improve the quality of the source code by contributing to increasing test coverage, bug fixes and code updates
  • Actively participate in code walkthroughs and resolution of software defects
  • Translate written requirements/specifications into viable test plans and automate test cases
  • Determine simple to medium complexity development issues’ cause and develop solutions
  • Ensure remedy is an effective permanent solution
  • Maintain existing systems, make small to medium modifications
  • Perform simple analysis of existing systems, documenting systems as necessary
  • Interact and effectively communicate with GTS staff

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of programming experience
  • Java and Angular developer
  • Experience with test automation using JBehave and Cucumber preferred
  • Experience with automated and manual testing of the interactive voice response (IVR) system
  • Programming experience in current programming languages
  • Experience designing, programming, and implementing information systems
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate data with identifiable factors for diverse technological problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem - solving skills for simple to moderate problems
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
