Job Description

Associate  Electronic Test Engineer

Our client in the automotive electronics industry is looking for an Associate Electronics Test Engineer for a 6 month contract.  Do you like to problem solve?  Do you like to find out how electronics devices work and can be improved?  This could be for you! 

You can expect to:

  • Conduct product tests. Set up and operate standard and custom test equipment and chambers. Includes equipment such as microscopes, Instron type force equipment, various electrical parameter measuring devices, temperature/humidity chambers, etc.
  • Perform product evaluation and performance analysis. Utilizing standard departmental procedures establish performance and reliability of the products being tested.
  • Prepare detailed test reports. Includes the purpose, a summary, conclusions, part numbers and component details of the product being tested, procedures and equipment used, etc. 
  • Prepare test samples and assemble test boards using hand, wave, and convection re-flow soldering processes.

You will need to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to provide solutions to a wide variety of engineering problems.
  • Prioritize personal work load while developing a multiple projects from beginning to end.
  • Apply statistical analysis to time sensitive data to observe relationships and identify potential opportunities for improvement within a connector system and electronic solutions.
  • Work closely with individual team members to perform hands-on tasks to ensure accurate completion of objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Physics or Material Engineering
  • Experience as an Engineering Intern or working in a engineering test laboratory preferred.
