Job Description

Volt is looking for a candidate with experience working on Dispensing Automation machines.  The client is a leading the fight against COVID-19 and is looking for an all around team player with experience installing, operating and fixing Automated Dispensing Machines. 

The ideal candidate would both work in production to help complete workorders as well as maintain, troubleshoot, and manage all automation.

Job Description:

  1. Strong working knowledge and background in filling, dispensing, and capping machinery
  2. Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a high speed manufacturing environment.
  3. Install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  4. Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
  5. Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
  6. Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.
  7. Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
  8. Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards.
  9. Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
  10. Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks
  11. Purchase equipment, materials, or parts.

Job Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or GED, 4 year industrial mechanical experience, and/or two-year technical degree preferred
  2. An advanced degree is a plus.
  3. Experience from projects preferably in the medical device, biotechnology, and/or pharmaceutical industries.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds
  5. Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required
  6. Must be able to continuously stand, bend, and twist. Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
