Automation Technician

This manufacturing company located in Totem Lake, WA which is a privately held company founded in 1984 and provides end to end electronic manufacturing services including Design, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), complete Box Builds, final System Integration and Test is seeking an Automation Technician for a contract role. Creating value across a diversified customer base in market segments such as HealthTech, Medical, Industrial, Defense & Aerospace, Automotive and Consumer amongst others. The successful Automation Technician 1 candidate will have broad-based industrial maintenance experience, encompassing Electrical, Robotics, Mechanical, Welding, Machining, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Conveyor systems, etc. Must be willing to tackle whatever maintenance challenge presents itself, and be willing to assist and learn from others in their areas of expertise. Included, but not limited to, are the following responsibilities:

Day to day coverage of production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and Production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime. Create, modify, and implement PM documents and schedules, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds. Design, fabricate, implement, and fully document equipment improvements and modifications. Manage spare part inventory. Overtime and weekends as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of extensive experience maintaining industrial equipment and automation or comparable military experience. Expertise in one trade, proficiency in others, and the willingness to learn additional. Experience in automotive is highly desired. PLC and Robot programming skills preferred.
