Job Description

Volt has an immediate opportunity for a Benefits / Payroll Clerk  in Tulare County. Candidate will provide a wide range of  day to day operations of the group benefits program that include health, dental vision, life insurance and flexible spending programs. Responsible for processing payroll with accuracy.

Job Duties: 

-Process benefit enrollments of new hires 

-Administers various employee benefits programs ( Medical, Dental, Life, Vacation, Sick and Paid Sick Leave

- Adjusts timecard entries as necessary, calculates retro pay when applicable

- Responds to employee inquiries in timely manner regarding payroll and benefits 

-Train new employee users on self-service payroll system features 

-Other Human Resources projects assigned as needed

Qualifications: 

Candidate must have 3-5 recent years of payroll and benefits experience as well as Paylocity and basic understanding of payroll taxes.  

Associate's or bachelor's degree

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality 

Excellent data entry and communication skills, Microsoft Office - MS Excel, MS Word,PowerPoint, MS Outlook and HRIS systems. Team and detail oriented.
