Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager has the responsibility for establishing priorities for the revenue growth of existing and new customers.  This includes responsibility for establishing new customer relationships and maintaining and growing existing customers.   This includes establishing near and short term plans in conjunction with the management team to achieve the company’s goals while creating a strong value based brand with the customer base. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish sales goals with the management team for growing existing customers and new customer targets.
  • Coordination with management team of annual sales budget.
  • Support of ongoing activities, methodologies, SLA’s to meet customer needs and divisional goals.
  • Coordination of preparations for bids, proposals and presentations as well as determining billing rates for customers to obtain optimum income. 
  • Generate viable opportunities from new and existing customer. Track and move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Create and maintain a business plan with targeted new accounts. Develop strategy for penetrating existing and new clients.
  • Engaged in outside selling daily.
  • Manage assigned territory in an organized and systematic fashion. Develop business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new and active clients.
  • Generate leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and via telephone and other electronic media such as social networking tools and techniques.
  • Responsible for revenue and profitable growth of new and existing customers.
  • Attend Sales workshops and meetings.
  • Research potential new business and current client and update target list.
  • Maintain active participation and membership in networking organizations.
  • Complete the timely entry of all required sales documentation into CRM and other automated systems. Maintain consistency and integrity of data.
  • Coordinate with PAL’s and recruiting teams to ensure delivery to existing opportunities.
  • Meet with Director of Business Development/Senior Business Development Manager and inside staff on a regular basis to communicate all client service priorities and business/sales opportunities.
  • Provide information on clients or prospects for bids and proposals within assigned territory.
  • Coach inside staff to help refine messaging and develop their sales skills and comfort with the selling process.
  • Work to ensure contract compliance.
  • Support Six Sigma methodologies in division
  • Support best practice guidelines of division.
  • Work with other divisions in the selling of Workforce Design application.

Position Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.  Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • 2 years of Customer Management or Sales experience required.
  • Previous experience servicing, supporting, developing and generating major accounts.
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in comparable field preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Annual Salary-dependent on years of experience
