Job Description

Volt has partnered with an amazing leader in global post sales service support for original equipment manufacturers to hire a Business Development Manager for Irvine CA. You would Execute sales activities for the company to solicit profitable revenue and orders for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Industrial Services.

COMPENSATION: Generous Base Salary + Commissions + Bonus. 

You will be responsible for being accountable to a 30, 60 and 90 day Sales plan proposal and implementation of the Sales plan. You will be promoting and seeking new business accounts to achieve the assigned revenue objectives.

The sales emphasis should be geared towards securing orders identified as “New Business Development.” that will be support and service contracts tied to various prospects in multiple vertical markets like industrial & aviation.

  • Promotes the company’s service solutions addressing client’s objectives.
  • Develops a growth strategy both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Develops sales campaigns for “solid” sales and profitable items.
  • Follow up on the sales leads with prospective customers and solicit services.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations and contracts as necessary.
  • Give verbal and/or in person presentations to prospects as necessary.
  • Identify the initial and follow up sales plan and timeline(s) to address the sales needs of the “New Business Development”.
  • Prepares related reports on sales activities utilizes Microsoft Dynamic CRM
  • Business Development Managers are required to spend a minimum of 50% of the time in the field soliciting and servicing customers.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years of professional sales experience in a related industry.
  • Knowledge of Industrial OEM’s.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency, as well as knowledge of Word, Excel and CRM software.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, control multiple projects and to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationship with customers and employees.
