Volt has an opening for a Business Specialist for a client in Rancho Cordova, CA. We are looking for someone with experience in Data Analysis. Volt's Client is the leading provider of vision care and coverage and they are committed to providing superior eye care and services that create members for life.

Contract through end of year.

Creating Data to enhance client products using Building Editor Software. Familiar with process mapping, & queries. Strong ability to analyze process and breakdown information an absolute in this role. Sequencing events. Strong Microsoft Office suite experience required. Self-starter with strong organizational skills required.

Description:

General Summary

Under supervision, provide business area expertise to other business partners. Work closely with project team members and others to analyze alternatives and implement approved changes to current systems and processes.

Essential Functions

Work with project teams to analyze current processes and systems and formulate alternative methods to improve accuracy, efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Develop business process and procedure mapping within the assigned business area.

Coordinate and gather information from other departments as necessary.

Perform backup support and act as point of contact for other departments and other representatives in discussing proposed changes and the impacts to existing systems and processes. Coordinate responses giving estimated resources required to accomplish the proposed changes.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience

Ability to research processes, analyze problems, and define system or procedural solutions

Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to speak in group situations with clear and concise communication regarding project issues and status

Excellent written communication skills. Ability to write documentation and reports that are clear, complete, and understood by both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to organize individual responsibilities for multiple projects, resulting in the timely and accurate completion and delivery of project tasks

Ability to gather and understand resource information from a variety of sources, including interviews, researches and reports

Proficiency with word processing, flowcharts, and spreadsheet applications

Excellent interpersonal skills to foster cooperation amongst business partners and coordinate internal as well as external resource/workload

Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment the in performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
