VOLT is looking for Business Systems Analyst in Santa Ana, CA

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Santa Ana, CA (Onsite position)
Expected Duration: 6 Months to permanent position
1st shift
40 hours per week
Must relocate to job location on your own expenses


This family is responsible for analyzing user business problems to be solved with automated systems. 
May formulate and define information system scope and objectives through research, analysis, testing and fact finding with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. 
Assignments typically include problem definition, evaluation of requirements, and implementation of systems to meet business, user, and cost requirements. May prepare communications and make presentations on recommendations on system enhancements or alternatives. 
May act as functional experts. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. 
Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). 

Formulates and defines complex information systems scope and objectives through research, analysis, testing, and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. 
Analyzes user needs and documents requirements by preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written. 
Identifies problem areas and recommends revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary. 
Prepares documentation and reports to define processing functions required. 

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. 

Personal judgment and performance may affect the cost, schedule and quality of project. 
Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules. 

May interact with outside customers and functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. FREEDOM TO 
Receives no instruction on routine work. 
May supervise and provide guidance to other personnel. 

Having knowledge and experience, able to handle usual and seldom occurring job events. 
May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to nonexempt personnel. 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4+ years related experience.
5+ years of associated work experience          
Practical application ability with Microsoft Office and VISIO
Strong experience in user testing and requirements management
Detailed analytical abilities
