Immediate need for a 1st shift CNC Programmer!! 

This is a direct hire opportunity!!

$22 - $30 an hr depending on experience!!

This position creates the computerized programs that operate the CNC machines located in the Machine Shop, including all applicable documents required for part manufacture.

The incumbent also manages all engineering changes and acts as a technical resource for machine operators concerning CNC programs.



Responsibilities

Determine the best machining practices to produce the parts that are needed, taking care to reduce the number of overall activities as much as possible. Work with Engineering to clarify any concerns/questions on the part design. Determine the material requirements, tools, and fixtures to be used for the part manufacture assuring minimal scrap.

Create the computerized programs and provide all documents to produce parts where applicable for each machine. Make sure all documents are clear in content and all information is included.

Create all Bill of Materials (BOM) in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for parts to be manufactured in the machine shop.

Manage all engineering changes for the machine shop. Pull all programs and setup sheets off the floor to ensure no parts are made to the incorrect revisions.

Serve as technical resource for CNC machine operators. Interact with operators as needed on most effective and efficient procedures to machine parts. Answer any questions on set-up requirements and may act as a resource during first article runs.

Support CNC machines and personnel, as needed, in machine shop, including training all new employees on CNC machining centers.

Order supplies, tooling, etc. for the shop and all shop personnel.

Contact contractors and schedule necessary equipment/machine maintenance and repairs, as needed, throughout the shop.



Qualifications

Education

Minimum of associate’s degree in programming or engineering, or other related discipline, or an equivalent amount of industry experience.

Required Skills

Must be proficient with SolidWorks modeling software.

At least 3 - 5 years experience.

Must be proficient with CAMWorks manufacturing software or similar software that works within SolidWorks (Mastercam,GibbsCAM,ESPIRIT)

At least 3 - 5 years experience.

Must be proficient in programming CNC machining MILLING centers with either Fanuc Series 18 or above controllers or Mazatrol Nexus 2 controllers.

At least.3 - 5 years experience.

Must have the ability to create fixturing and tooling for manufacturing processes as needed through the use of SolidWorks modeling.

At least 3 - 5 years experience.

Must have previous experience operating CNC milling machines, and the ability to read CNC machine code.

At least 3 years experience.

Must have the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics.

Preferred Experience, Education and Skills

Must have intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite.

Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Must have good written and oral communication skills.
