Job Description


The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, review, implementation, and administration of compensation programs. Collects, analyzes, and maintains data to ensure the organization can attract and retain high quality employees. Ensures appropriate pay based on market data and trends.

Essential Duties:

  • Researches and analyzes compensation trends. Reviews market pay programs and practices and compares company pay practices and data against market information to determine competitiveness.
  • Participates in salary and other ad hoc compensation surveys. Formats and loads survey data into compensation software and maintains accurate survey data in the system.
  • Reviews and recommends salary surveys to support market pricing efforts. Performs job evaluations. Works with internal stakeholders to evaluate and market price new and revised jobs.
  • Reviews job descriptions and makes FLSA exemption recommendations. Assesses market matches and recommendation; Establishes and maintains job-related data in necessary systems.
  • Addresses basic to moderately complex compensation questions using knowledge of compensation, human resources, and internal policies.
  • Delivers accurate and timely compensation reporting and serves as a consultant to internal stakeholders for core compensation and compensation systems as needed.
  • Identifies and resolves various compensation-related issues and questions.
  • Assists in the administration of annual merit and variable pay programs, including project managing year-end merit and variable pay compensation processes.
  • Performs quality control to maintain high levels of accuracy, timeliness, and process consistency across the organization.
  • Ensures compensation programs are compliant with regulatory requirements and internal policies by providing analytical support, research assistance, management audits, and ongoing monitoring of program use.
  • Maintains knowledge of internal compensation policies and procedures and human resources laws. Assists in the review and approval of internal/external compensation offer proposals.
  • Assists in developing training programs and presentations for educating HR business partners and managers about compensation-related topics and initiatives.

On occasion may participate with HR Business Partners and shared services to evaluate HRIS software and hardware needs regarding new design or modification to existing HRIS to meet changing business demands.

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1-2 Years experience in HRIS, Workday, ADP, or similar HR software
  • 1-2 years experience in Compensation Analyst role
  • 1-2 years experience in an extensive Excel analysis role
  • 1-2 years experience with coordinating job level and merit increase reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Compensation Professional Certification (CCP in progress or completed)
