Volt is seeking a Component Development Technician to work onsite at our client’s facility in Mossville, IL.  You will start remote due to COVID but will then be fully onsite once the facility reopens.  This is a contingent position forecasted for two years.  Within this role, you will answer powertrain related technical questions from our client’s dealers.  Dealer's submit questions/feedback using a Dealer Solutions Network system for a specific issue on a machine.

Education:  Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology, Diesel Power, or a related field and 2-4 years of work experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, OR High school diploma or GED required with at least eight + years technical experience

Required Skills:

  • An in depth understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical gear systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of drive train components and systems including axles, differentials, planetary transmissions, torque converters

Must be available to work on W2 for Volt.  No C2C or 3rd party vendors please.
