Customer Advocate I & II

• Responds to inquiries from policyholders, providers, etc for info & assistance.
• Performs research to respond to inquiries and interprets policy provisions to determine most effective response.
• Documents interactions through internal tracking system.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience Preferred: 1-2 years call center, customer service, claims processing, medical billing or health insurance industry experience. Open to all candidates.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Level Specific Responsibilities:

 Advocate I

• Provides solutions to routine problems.
• Basic knowledge of systems and procedures obtained through work experience or education.

• Work is closely supervised.
• Work is routine or follows standard procedures.

Advocate II

Level Specific Responsibilities:
• Responds to customer verbal, written & face-to-face inquiries for all lines of business.
• Develops strategies to resolve issues; suggests ways to improve issue resolution.
• Coaches others on call resolution.
• Shares knowledge and trains others on difficult topics; seen as a resource.
• Able to perform all complex functions on all lines of business.
• Acts as a team lead.

• Works under limited supervision for routine situations.
• Problems typically are not routine and required analysis to understand.
• Provides assistance and training to lower level employees.
