Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions has an exciting permanent position for a Customer Service Representative. This is golden opportunity with an amazing innovative and cutting-edge company. The Customer Service Representative processes orders, creates documents and invoices, and researches claims by performing some or all of the following duties. This is a very dynamic lead role with many moving pieces; must be quick on their feet as priorities will often shift. It requires someone to be detailed on understanding customer needs and ensuring accuracy when entering data into Sage as well as excellent follow up. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Has direct contact with customers by phone, email, or in person; receiving orders; providing pricing, shipping/tracking, confirmations, and packaging information; assisting with any documentation and sample requests; handling all general customer concerns and issues. This includes the handling of inter-company/ inter-site transfers and orders.
  • Keys customer orders into system; Sage
  • Supports and coordinates salespersons and broker requests, including product sample requests, documentation, quotes, etc.
  • Contributes to organizing sales orders with Planner/Scheduler and Production Manager.
  • Assists with complaints concerning billing or service issues, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
  • Assists with order labels and shipping documents when necessary.

Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database, Internet, inventory, order processing systems, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
