Job Description

Volt has immediate openings for Customer Support Specialist in Las Vegas!

The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for owning communications including answering phone calls and/or responding to emails and explaining the solar installation process, designs, billing, interconnection procedures, assisting customers with activating their solar system over the phone, as well as maintaining our relationship through the entire contract term.  The Customer Support Specialist also manages technical concerns includes troubleshooting monitoring issues, system failures, and handling customer inquiries regarding performance concerns.

The Customer Support Specialist should have strong verbal communication, writing, follow up and problem-solving skills and should be results oriented to deliver the customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone or email inquiries from customers and proactively reach out to customers
  • Communicate with internal teams to improve customer service
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries including follow up and all communication
  • Answer questions regarding system performance, maintenance and billing
  • Assist customers with system activation over the phone
  • Troubleshoot monitoring communication issues and troubleshoot system failures
  • Correct monitoring registration issues
  • Communicate with the Tier 2 team and field operations to coordinate site visits
  • Maintain both a direct and community email inbox
  • Additional duties required as needed

  Requirements

  • 2 years of customer service experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a call center environment
  • Technical Knowledge of Solar preferred
  • Highly organized and process oriented
  • Ability to deal with 80-100 inquires per day via inbound/outbound phone calls and email
  • Ability to accurately type 45 words/minute
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in order to research, develop and execute processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to adapt in a fast pace changing environment
  • Ability to thrive in a busy call center environment
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook and other Microsoft and related applications)
  • Knowledge of the construction/solar industry is strongly preferred
  • Ability to independently make decisions and solve problems
  • Ability to recall, retrieve and communicate detailed or technical information clearly, accurately, and concisely to non-technical audience/customers
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance required
  • Ability to analyze data for process consistency and identify improvements
  • Acute awareness and ability to manage to deadlines and people
  • Professional, customer focused approach to completing assignments
  • Flexibility with schedule, willing to work within the hours of business operation to ensure coverage and sometimes outside business hours. Hours of Operation are 6am to 7pm
  • Team player attitude, upbeat and motivational a MUST!
