Job Description

Volt has partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer in Fountain Valley to help identify an experienced Department Coordinator for Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The department coordinator plays a key role in supporting the department across all its business group functions and provides executive administration support.

  • Support the coordination of the Company's fleet of press vehicles and other assets to maximize positive media reviews through efficient utilization.
  • Provide executive admin support (e.g., calendar management, expense report support, etc.)
  • Develop and update weekly activity reports
  • Manage vendor program payments, purchase orders and scopes of work compliance, including monitoring, tracking, and reporting on program expenses versus budget, explaining variances for all assigned projects, and inputting into annual budget for department.
  • Provide event support and program support as needed by management.
  • Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as identified by management.


  • Must have exemplary oral and written communication skills and a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Must be able to professionally interact with internal and external stakeholders, often at the upper and executive-management level.
  • Must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple projects/deliverables simultaneously, including:
    • Ability to perform at a high-level with minimal oversight.  
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • College degree, preferred
  • Public relations, external relations, corporate social responsibility experience an asset

Position is temporary expected to last 5 months with strong potential to go longer. It also offers a foot in the door of a top company always hiring on our top talent.

Pay rate is $25-30/hr.  Hours are full time, M-F from 8am – 5pm. Position will start remote and work onsite when the company returns to work.
