Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Design/Hardware Engineer to assist an electronics manufacturing company who supports the lumber industry.  This role is working closely with the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all production drafting on standard products
  • As part of the production team the candidate will work closely with Project Management and Sales to define projects and to provide drawings to production in a timely manner.
  • Cabinet and Console design work on custom jobs
  • Work with and receive input from Assembly and Fabrication to implement and test those designs
  • When Engineers return from the field, correct “Mark Up” drawings and make sure they are distributed to customers and archived
  • Responsible for design document archive system
  • Liaison with Electrical Engineer from parent company
  • Occasional start up supervision or service related travel
  • Software modifications as assigned by supervisor

Skills Needed

  • Experience with cabinet and console design including knowledge of NEC Standards. 
  • Proficient in Auto Cad. 
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Willing to travel occasionally for startup assistance and service
  • Familiarity with Delta RMC motion control implementation
  • Ability to work independently but remain part of the team

Nice to Haves

  • Fabrication and soldering experience
  • Knowledge of PLC control design

Education

Associates degree required

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Design or other closely related Technical Field preferred.
