Job Description

Great Software Company in Santa Barbara is hiring for a Director of Global HR Operations! this is a wonderful opportunity, the company has an amazing attractive culture and great Benefits. 

HR Process improvement and execution

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide solutions focused on reducing effort, risk and driving simplicity for HR processes and procedures
  • Identify and automate solutions to increase the operational efficiency of HR process or procedure, with a focus on “effortless” principles 
  • Manage and document work flows and provide training and education for HR practitioners  

Shared Services

  • Ensure the delivery of the HR shared services transactions and processes in a timely, accurate & effective manner
  • Provides leadership to a globally distributed HR shared services team
  • Ensure that shared services team members and the wider HRBP group are educated to the appropriate level
  • Develop clear service level standards that define expectations and create accountability for delivery of HR shared services
  • Establish protocols and tiered escalations; ensure response to issues and requests from employees, managers and the HR team 
  • Review shared services processes to ensure adequate internal controls, driving for efficiencies, process improvements and automation 

HR Systems 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and strategic direction of a suite of Human Capital systems to support HR program deliverable s and create the digital roadmap and governance structure for future configurations, products and upgrades   
  • Direct and lead process solution design configuration, maintenance and data architecture of Human Capital systems and lead on integration as needed, collaborating with the IT department regarding technology guidelines, protocols, asset policies and third party service providers
  • Troubleshoot data issues and identify strategic solutions, collaborating with internal teams to scope out and implement changes
  • Optimize the use of technology and develop tools to minimize transactional HR activity for process improvement as it relates to the position
  • Cultivate knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends through review of professional contacts, attendance at seminars and trade shows, internet research and other sources
  • Act as primary interface with IT and HR to evaluate and deploy modules within the systems that meet global requirements 


HR Analytics

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining HR analytics that will improve decision making relating to organizational health and workforce planning, talent acquisition, attrition, training,  compensation and benefits, diversity etc. 
  • HR Policy, Compliance and Security 
  • Manage HR compliance projects cross-functionally. Partner with Legal, HR, Payroll, IT, Quality Management, Finance teams on regulation changes as needed
  • Create and manage enterprise-wide policy documents and workflows for audit purposes where appropriate  
  • Maintain HR policy and knowledge management documents 
  • Prepare, participate in internal and external audits
  • Implement policy and practice changes to achieve regulatory compliance globally where necessary
  • Govern HR data, and conduct regular auditing of HR data to ensure data accuracy and integrity


What You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in managing HR Shared Services and HRIS operations teams
  • Experience working in a global organization
  • BA or BS degree
  • Ability to work in ambiguity, adapt to change, and take a global view
  • Experience creating metrics/dashboards 
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and experience managing/implementing HR systems, especially Workday HRIS 
  • HR Policy experience and development especially US regulatory environment 
  • Strong written skills
