Job Description

?Currently seeking an EHS Manager for a client in the Orange County Ca area

  • Maintains site compliance with all federal, state and local regulations 
  • Ensure site compliance with  Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Maintains emergency preparedness plans and coordinates emergency drills and exercises.
  • Acts as the primary site interface with regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and conduct EHS trainings.
  • Manages hazardous waste management program.
  • Implement and maintain the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
  • Lead the injury response process.
  • Manages OSHA reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Lead the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans.
  • Maintain the SDS management system.
  • Performs periodic, site wide and area specific safety compliance evaluations and audits
  • Track and assist with safety related preventative maintenance such as signage, fire extinguisher, AED and emergency eye wash, etc.
  • Evaluate work processes for hazards and risk factors. Propose mitigation strategies.
  • Generates and publishes EHS KPI’s
  • Facilitates site Safety Programs.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years) in environmental health and safety or closely related field

Experience:

  • 5+ years related EHS experience in manufacturing environment

Skills:

  • In-Depth knowledge of OSHA standards and reporting requirements
  • In-Depth knowledge of environmental regulations as well as permitting/reporting requirements

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with Management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power-Point
