?Currently seeking an EHS Manager for a client in the Orange County Ca area
- Maintains site compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
- Ensure site compliance with Safety and Environmental standards.
- Maintains emergency preparedness plans and coordinates emergency drills and exercises.
- Acts as the primary site interface with regulatory agencies.
- Develop and conduct EHS trainings.
- Manages hazardous waste management program.
- Implement and maintain the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
- Lead the injury response process.
- Manages OSHA reporting and recordkeeping.
- Lead the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans.
- Maintain the SDS management system.
- Performs periodic, site wide and area specific safety compliance evaluations and audits
- Track and assist with safety related preventative maintenance such as signage, fire extinguisher, AED and emergency eye wash, etc.
- Evaluate work processes for hazards and risk factors. Propose mitigation strategies.
- Generates and publishes EHS KPI’s
- Facilitates site Safety Programs.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years) in environmental health and safety or closely related field
Experience:
- 5+ years related EHS experience in manufacturing environment
Skills:
- In-Depth knowledge of OSHA standards and reporting requirements
- In-Depth knowledge of environmental regulations as well as permitting/reporting requirements
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing facility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with Management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power-Point
