Job Description

Electrical Designer

This company located in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking an Electrical Designer (Tool Install)  for a possible temp to hire contingent role. The company’s Tool Install Electrical Designers are responsible for producing AutoCAD drawings from design data provided by our tool suppliers.  They are much more than drafters picking up red marks - you will work closely with engineers and other designers as an integral member of a multiple-discipline design team that produces unique tool install designs in a high-paced environment. 

As part of this team, you will develop design concepts and coordinate designs to resolve both real and modeled conflicts.  You will be responsible for managing your own workload, making and keeping your own commitments, and taking full ownership of your product. Daily job duties include: Create electrical drawings to meet design and client needs. Conduct field investigations of construction site and clean room environments to verify existing conditions and incorporate findings into design packages. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess a High School Diploma or GED – Required. Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering – Preferred. Electrical EIT or PE – Not required, but a plus. Autodesk AutoCAD® 3D/Revit®/Inventor® skills.  EasyPower® Proficient – Not required, but a plus.

Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook – Proficient. Autodesk AutoCAD® 2D (2015). Electrical Design Experience Required in the following: Familiar with the International and Oregon Electrical Codes. Ability to read, understand, and create Electrical Schematic layouts.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the design of Power Circuits and I&C Systems. Able to prepare complete, concise, and organized CAD models, written reports, and drawings in .dwf and .dwg format as needed.
