New Opportunity in Carlsbad, CA for an Electrical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to get in with a great company with room to grow.

POSITION:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing systems & subsystems in the areas of cameras, robotics, and non-destructive testing systems. This individual will act as an electronic development expert, working within a multidisciplinary design group. The right candidate will combine their engineering design capabilities with prototyping, testing, and product integration.

This design group is growing, and has a need to add skilled individuals to support technological advancement, and ultimately create a safer, more efficient workplace for our customers.


EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical design and analysis
  • Requires the use of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals to design electrical systems and schematics of medium complexity
  • Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and layout for low frequency mixed-signal systems
  • Experience with PCB fabrication and assembly process
  • Proficiency in EDA software (Altium, PADS, or ORCAD)
  • Knowledge of FPGA design, high speed protocols, and signal integrity
  • Understanding of I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, ethernet, and PCIe communication protocols
  • Uses systems engineering to modify existing systems to function in new applications
  • Leads projects of small to medium scope, including ownership of the project engineering schedule
  • Work collaboratively in small to medium size teams of multiple disciplines
  • Specify or analyze design requirements, host detailed design reviews, perform component selection & evaluation, perform design validation, and release documentation
  • Write assembly instructions, test procedures, instruction manual sections, and verification and validation reports to company standards
  • Attention to detail, quality focused, and uses sound engineering and design manufacturing principles
  • Ensure on-time execution of project deliverables
  • Troubleshoot prototype systems

EDUCATION:

  • BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering) or BS Physics from an accredited university. Other degrees considered with relevant experience.
