Job Description

Our client, a major defense/technology company, is seeking several Electrical Engineers for their location in El Segundo CA

Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

Analog Circuits:

  • Knowledge of components and parameters (op amps, transistors, PWM, magnetics, etc),
  • Examples of circuits to be evaluated: Op Amp circuits, Comparator circuits, DC-DC converters.
  • Analysis techniques: transient analysis, AC stability analysis, stress analysis, power dissipation, noise
  • Analog Analysis Tools: Hand calculation in Excel/Matlab; Mentor System Vision for circuit modeling and sim (Monte Carlo, parametric).

Digital Circuits:

  • Knowledge of components and parameters (memory, processors, clocks).
  • Examples of circuits to be evaluated: Data bus, clock networks, fpga i/o, digital i/o.
  • Circuit Analyses may include FPGA: Signal Integrity, Power integrity, Noise margin, logic level compatibility, crosstalk, timing/delay analysis, FPGA timing, Unused pin review, Simultaneous Switching Outputs, Metastability, Power sequencing, Bus Contention
  • Digital Analysis Tools:
  • Hand calculation in Excel/Matlab; Mentor System Vision for circuit modeling and sim (Monte Carlo, parametric); Hyperlinx; LINT

RF Circuits:

  • Knowledge of components and parameters (amplifiers, mixers, attenuators, filters, transmission lines, gain, phase noise, pass/stop band, stability, etc),
  • Examples of circuits to be evaluated: RF amplifiers, RF receiver
  • Analyses may include: Isolation, VSWR, phase noise, gain budget, spurious response, etc
  • RF Analysis Tools:  Hand calculation in Excel/Matlab; ADS for circuit modeling and sim (Monte Carlo, parametric)

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree.; experience/familiarity with PCB/PWB design
  • Mentor experience strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred for junior-level;  4+ years for mid-level; and 7+ years for senior-level.
