Electrical Engineering Group Manager

I have an open position for one of my clients in Kennewick, WA (near Spokane) who is seeking an Electrical Engineering Group Manager for a direct hire role. The selected candidate will report to the President/CEO and must have strong written and oral communication skills, be client focused, and knowledgeable about the company capabilities. The position will work closely with our project managers on a variety of tasks related to the planning and implementation of electrical design.

This position will be responsible for the day-to-day group management of the group including one-on-one interactions with staff to complete desired goals and outcomes. Should have experience in commercial facility engineering and knowledgeable in the areas of interior and exterior lighting, power distribution and low voltage design. You have an understanding of project management and the importance of scope management in order to deliver successful projects. Understand engineering design concepts, have strong technical acumen, excellent communication and collaboration skills and are creative in how you circumvent obstacles, motivate a team and manage expectations of your stakeholders. Success in this position means delivering results through leadership, focusing on what’s best for our clients and community, and helping the company to continue to grow as a company.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer with 15 years of engineering experience; and at least 8 years’ experience as a Project Manager or equivalent. Other desired qualifications: PMP Certified, NCEES Record, LEED Certified, LEAN Certified, CEM, CSI-CDT, or CCS, Professional Memberships, i.e. ASHRAE, IEEE, NFPA, or WSSHE.
