Electrical Dev Quality Engineer

Contract-Burlington, Mass

6+mths-up to $60.85 an hour

Volt Technical Resources is seeking and Electrical Dev. Quality Engineer for a leading manufacturer of medical devices for their Burlington, MA location.

We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Electrical Engineer to play a key role in clients Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) R&D organization.  In this position, you will be a member of the Electrical Engineering R&D team responsible for the development and qualification of new designs/products. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing V&V test protocols, test execution, and writing test reports.
  • Develops test methods, test fixtures, automation SW as needed.
  • Participates/contributes in technical design reviews on electrical designs.
  • Optimizes electrical circuits through characterization, modeling, data analysis and statistics
  • Conducts root cause analysis for high priority design issues

?Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or related field
  • Experience with FDA & medical device development
  • Understanding of good documentation practices
  • Experience with battery powered systems
  • Takes the initiative to recognize and solve problems proactively
  • Understands internal & external customer needs and how to exceed their expectations
  • Good hands-on analog & digital circuit design experience for embedded systems
  • Comfortable using math and physics to solve engineering problems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in electrical design and qualification.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of sound design principles and practices
  • Good proficiency with general lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, programmable loads)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and takes initiatives to ensure successful outcomes
  • Strong communication skills
