VOLT’s client is looking for an Engineering Technician.

This is an estimated 6-9 month Contingent/Temporary position in Spokane, WA and offered through Volt Technical Resources located in Spokane, WA.   • We are looking for a Hardware Engineering Technician (ET) to assist with our hardware support for ongoing product(s) line. We are seeking enthusiastic, quality-minded individual to be part of a team that helps deliver our family of leading-edge network platforms.


  • Assist senior hardware engineers in the troubleshooting and identifying root cause analysis on a variety of products.
  • Perform electronic component qualification(s) under direction of a lead engineer. 
  • Support team hardware test/validation, analysis, and reporting. 
  • Support hardware sustaining team with equipment setup and configuration 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • General knowledge of how CPUs, memory, and OS kernels work
  • Experience with electrical circuits and diagrams.
  • Knowledge on test and measurement equipment DMM, Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, Network analyzers, Power meters, associated probes/cables, etc.
  • Excellent analytic / trouble-shooting skills.
  • Knowledge on scripting (Python, Shell, etc.) a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, team player and ambitious
  • Able to take instruction, collaborate and execute in a remote or local onsite work environment depending on the task.


  • Technical College Degree with specialization in HW deployment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

List any special environmental conditions, unpleasant conditions, and special hazards, as well as any lifting, bending or vision requirements.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. at times
  • Working on site at the Liberty Lake facility
  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or lab computer table
