Engineering Technician

This manufacturing company located in Totem Lake, WA which is a privately held company founded in 1984 and provides end to end electronic manufacturing services including Design, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), complete Box Builds, final System Integration and Test is seeking an Engineering Technician for a contract role. Creating value across a diversified customer base in market segments such as HealthTech, Medical, Industrial, Defense & Aerospace, Automotive and Consumer amongst others. As directed by Engineering and/or customers, this position will assist with various troubleshooting projects regarding our products.

This position requires a self-starter with excellent time management skills, organization, and attention to detail. The incumbent will demonstrate excellent interaction and communication skills with employees, customers, and meet the company’s code of ethics. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Setup and use test equipment. Assemble and rework devices. Troubleshoot devices and circuits.  Document test/rework/troubleshooting history. Create custom test setups (fixtures, cables, etc.) Check equipment calibration and follow calibration processes.

Performs the set-up calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits and assemblies. Performs various equipment maintenance as required. Recognizes failures and set-up problems and determines needs for appropriate verifications. Records failures and maintains accurate tracking history. Follow proper Electro State Discharge (ESD) procedures at all times and be knowledgeable of and perform job in accordance with proper material handling procedures and guidelines. Understand the metrics that apply to his or her job and understand how they contribute to the stated objectives. Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
