Position Purpose

The IT Manager's role is to plan, organize, control, and lead a technology delivery team. The team including analysts, developers, testers, support specialists, product owners and SCRUM masters. The team supports the development and operational lifecycle for back-office business functions

This Manager works closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective solutions for the organization. Outstanding communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate opportunities and solutions will be vital to the success of this position.

Essential Responsibilities


Strategy & Governance

  • Deep understanding of IT strategy, governance, performance measurement, stakeholder relations and innovation
  • Apply an IT governance framework that aligns IT with the business objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT systems
  • Foster a culture of innovation; developing impactful solutions, and prototyping quickly and effectively
  • Enforce all IT policies and procedures, improving risk coverage and adherence

Financial Management

  • Equip IT to evaluate, direct, and monitor investments to support the achievement of business value.
  • Manage an effective IT budget, forecast spend and convey business value
  • Apply vendor management practices transitioning in new vendors, maintaining communications, monitoring & addressing performance

Service Planning & Architecture

  • Collaborate on enterprise architecture efforts
  • Build a successful service management practice focused on outcomes
  • Be accountable for service quality


  • Build, grow, maintain, and lead a high performing team
  • Maintain an IT structure aligned to a product centric operating model, clearly demonstrating how IT creates value and how work, flows in and out of the department
  • Maintain a workforce plan and manage the people lifecycle, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance

Operations Management

  • Lead the team in service operation excellence
  • Drive accountability for security, risk management, and compliance
  • Drive a product focused, business value approach to roadmaps, delivery, and throughput
  • Apply planning, project management and strategic roadmap to know where you are going
  • Manage a project portfolio translating strategic roadmaps into specific, tangible goals

Position Qualifications

Formal Education & Certification

  • 8+ years' work experience, 3+ years in management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
  • ITIL V3+ Practitioner highly desired
  • PMP, PRINCE2 practitioner highly desired

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong People management experience; able to recruit, retain, train, and grow world class talent
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and proven record of accomplishment
  • Experience with agile development practices and Tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
  • Knowledge of Product Management principles and their application in an ERP environment
  • Deep ERP applications experience; preferably PeopleSoft on Cloud
  • Experience creating and driving quality metrics for IT service operation management
  • Experience with the Staffing industry is a plus
  • Understanding and working knowledge of staffing industry software; preferably Bullhorn
  • Strong understanding of a PC, Windows, Linux, Oracle, and SQL Server environment
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
