Interested in getting a foot in the door into the Entertainment Industry?

Volt is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President for a leading Family Entertainment and Media Enterprise. This position will play an integral supportive role in developing marketing strategies for current and legacy titles. This is a temporary remote contract for the next 6 months with possible return to office, in the West Coast/ Burbank, CA area.

Position will primarily focus in:

  • Proactively manage smooth operations of the executive’s calendar and office, being mindful of deadlines and anticipating needs
  • Organize calendar scheduling, facilitate email and phone correspondence, submit expense reports, handle purchasing requests for supplies, presentation set-up, etc.
  • Prepare grids in Excel for reporting; maintain, update, and compile weekly reports across the group for subsequent reporting to senior management and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and work across departments and teams
  • Provide additional support to other executives in the department as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel, Mac and PCs
  • Proficiency in cloud based file management, i.e. Dropbox
  • Self-motivated; takes initiative when managing work flow and delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • General understanding of the television development process and cycles.
  • Knowledge of marketing agencies, TV networks and platforms.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Must have a passion for television and the desire for a career in TV

Additional Must Haves:

  • well rounded and able to work with several different groups, segments, divisions
  • able to multi task - juggle many projects at one time
  • Keynote and PowerPoint skills, heavy scheduling in Outlook with/for multiple recipients
  • Proactive, project oriented (someone that is passionate about and has a Television background)

Required Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of previous administrative assistant experience in a high volume entertainment desk at a studio, network, production company, talent, or marketing agency
