Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with specifications and maintenance staff.
  • Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Maintains safety standards and ensures OSHA workplace standards are being met.
  • Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
  • Leads the process of requesting bids, receiving proposals and hiring outside contractors.
  • Designs a plan of succession within Team supported by mentoring relationships and leadership development.
  • Supervises and acts as liaison to outside contractors including cleaning, and security personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Must be able to pass drug screen, and background.
