Job Description

Facility Engineer needed in Elk Grove, CA!

Position Overview:  This is a non-supervisory position with responsibilities to oversee, monitor, modify, improve, and implement production/facility operations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties Includes the following (other duties may be assigned or removed upon requirement):

Provides engineering support for production and management teams in manufacturing environment.

Receives assignments from other engineers and/or project managers and communicates status to senior management as needed.

Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and facilitate downtime maintenance and preventative maintenance programs for various facility equipment.

Maintains specified equipment records. 

Provides technical support and training to employees to improve facility safety and workspace organization methods and procedures.

Trains and coordinates the work of technicians in equipment maintenance, calibration, problem solving, and decision-making techniques as applicable.

Develops custom tools and prototypes to support production.

Attends production and engineering team meetings and respond to action items assigned within specified time frame.

Identifies opportunities to improve existing procedures and workflow processes.

Ensure projects are compliant in all safety, OSHA, and ESD workplace standards.

Works with outside contractors when necessary to execute installation of facility equipment and facility modifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience with hand tools and power tools (drills, saws, electrical saws, grinders, soldering iron, etc.) and basic fabrication/assembly techniques required.

Electromechanical troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Process improvement knowledge in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to efficiently multi-task and work alongside cross-functional teams to meet objectives.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively both written and verbal.

Excellent team leadership abilities and interpersonal skills.

Able to effectively and consistently demonstrate time management skills.

Ability to adhere to health & safety practices.


Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or similar engineering discipline
