Position:        Manufacturing Financial Analyst

Location:        Clinton, IN

Status:            18 month contract

Shift:               Day shift; Monday to Friday

Job Description:

This position is a contractor role supporting a range of financial/accounting activities for the the manufacturing facility. This role reports directly to the site Financial Controller. The primary focus of the position includes monthly reporting, monthly reconciliation, and analysis for the areas of responsibility (including but not limited to: Depreciation and Fixed Assets, Inventory, Work in Process, Utilities, and other areas as deemed necessary).  The position is designed to offer an opportunity to gain exposure to the organization and build on key functional skills to make an impact. This role will provide support to Controller and Sr. Analyst during wave of upcoming critical projects. Some of the key areas of focus will be in manufacturing scorecard variance analysis such as absorption, use/yield, purchase price variance, and losses. In addition to variance analysis, this role will also have some exposure to the business planning process for setting standard costs, forecasting and Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) Reporting.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial templates and associated journal vouchers for depreciation, utilities, inventory, and other areas as assigned; explaining major drivers of business performance and relevant updates business plan and forecasts.
  • Assist with variance analysis of manufacturing scorecard; including losses, freight, and purchase price variance
  • Perform account reconciliations as required.
  • Prepare departmental analysis and summaries for area managers.
  • Participate in Sox Readiness, internal control monitoring and compliance, and assist with the facilitation of internal/external audits.

Forecasting & Planning:

  • Assist with the forecasting and planning process, including business plan and other forecasts in the annual planning and forecasting cycle.
  • Assist with product costing; standard setting process.
  • Assist with capturing area manager’s financial budgets, targets, and other operational plans as well as reporting actuals against forecasts and plan.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or Related Field
  • 2 years of experience in financial/accounting role with experience in providing business support or analytics to business partners
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills for key financial tools (e.g., SAP, BOXI, Excel, other)
  • Strong communication, team-work and interpersonal skills
  • Language fluency in English (written and verbal)
