Job Description

Long term contract role with a potential for hire - 77036 zip code (up to $80K) 

High visibility, critical role in the Thermal Management Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, supporting core financial processes (i.e., Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, Monthly and Weekly Reporting & Analysis) and supporting regional sales leaders. This role is key in driving predictability, accountability and analysis throughout the Thermal Management Segment and by partnering with other Thermal Management functional leaders and finance team members.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Involved in the end-to-end development of annual operating plans including process flow, timeline, review meeting coordination, document creation and control, and financial consolidation.
  • Assist with the quarterly forecast processes with an emphasis on developing high quality forecasts with a thorough understanding of potential risks and opportunities.
  • Tracks and analyzes performance against the financial plan, forecast and prior year. Works to identify root cause for shortfalls.
  • Supports data collection and consolidation required to understand sales and margin analysis, structural cost analysis, customer and product profitability, pricing, market dynamics and working capital optimization.
  • Partnering with regional sales leaders to understand trends, improve forecast accuracy, grow, and improve predictability.
  • Develops the tools to support analyzing the results and performance of the sales channels, vertical markets, product lines or categories and geographical regions.
  • Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and utilize Lean tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those processes.
  • Support key growth initiatives within Thermal Management.
  • Analyzes orders, backlog, and industry trends to help improve predictability and business partnering.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to utilize Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneStream XF or similar (HFM, Essbase, etc.)

Education and experience:

  • Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA or CPA/CMA is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards (IAS)
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Operational Finance and/or Corporate Finance
  • Solid interest and aptitude for and experience with critical, complicated analytical work and creative thinking
