The successful candidate will assist the GIS Edit team in maintaining our clients facilities through a geo referenced data model (AFM). The GIS Editing Specialist position includes reviewing, correcting, and translating all finished construction designs into the geodatabase. This position requires communication with multiple team members regarding status and technical issues that arise. The GIS Editing Specialist position requires using ESRI’s ArcGIS Desktop and online software.

 Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in GIS Database/Mapping
  • Ability to collect, analyze and summarize GIS data
  • Ability to georeferenced/geocode data
  • Strong proficiency using ESRI software, including ArcGIS 10.2.1, Arc Online, and Arc Catalog
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Ability to create, edit and project a variety of data sets and databases to generate a variety of map products involving multiple disciplines
  • Ability to compile and extract geographic data from a variety of sources including field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing databases
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills; and analytical and creative problem-solving skill.
  • Work on multiple projects while managing schedule and budgets; ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage workload effectively
