Job Description

We are now seeking a Post-Harvest Field Operations Manager to join our team!

As a Post-Harvest Field Operations Manager you would be required to teach, train, and assist our fumigation department. This individual must be able to plan, direct and coordinate day to day operations. As well as improve performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability within operations. Must be able to create new ideas, build, and maintain customer relationships.

Customary travel of 35-40% required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of 15-20 post-harvest fumigators and supervisors.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the logistics of the day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain inventory and shop supplies for department.
  • Submits accurate inventory proposal to meet budget goals.    
  • Develops a great understanding of how department operates by involving themselves in all aspects office/fields operations.
  • Ensures customer accounts are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, addressing problems that may arise.
  • Service existing customers as a technical advisor for products and services; troubleshoots and resolves issues in the field and warehouse.
  • Increase quality of customer services and implement best practice.
  • Maintains all fumigation procedures in compliance with company, state, and local authority safety standards.
  • Assures that equipment (trucks, cars, trailers, warehouse) are maintained and in good order.
  • Protects organization’s confidential/proprietary information, e.g., trade secrets, customer lists, pricing.
  • Maintains company standards and is accountable for all employees within department.
  • Creates SOP’s and checklists for all tasks.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in products/industry training opportunities.
  • Represents company at industry events; promote/sale products and services.

Responds to customers and acts on behalf of General Manager’s absence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in a manager/supervisor role.
  • Competency with the complete Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with a minimum of 35 – 40 % travel.
  • Unsurpassed communication skills, both written and verbal

Full- Time position with benefits

Salary $55,000-$75,000/ Year depending on experience
