Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a strong Human Resources Specialist to provide support to the human resources team and organization.  The HR Specialist will assist in managing all human resource procedures. The successful candidate will be passionate about recruiting, supporting, and evolving employees through company guidelines and managing processes. The right candidate will be a team-player with strong communication skills and diligence in their work.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, implement, and evaluate all human resource department policies, procedures, and structures
  • Develop compensation and benefits packages
  • Maintain employee records and recruiting of new employees
  • Manage health and life insurance programs
  • Design and implement effective training and development plans
  • Perform quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Ensure all employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information or changes in employment status
  • Identify the company’s hiring needs and manage the recruitment process to ensure it runs smoothly
  • Track department budgets
  • Respond to employees’ queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Process employee records and paperwork
  • Maintenance of payroll records, filing of back payroll documents and preparation of payroll reports
  • Maintaining payroll wages garnishments, EDD documentation and reports.
  • Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business admin, human resources or a relevant field preferred
  • 3+ years’ proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of labor legislations and payroll processes
  • Good understanding of the full recruitment process
  • Strong ability to analyze information
  • An ability to prioritize and manage expectations
  • A keen eye for detail
  • An ability to work independently
  • The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently
