Our client in the Irving/Coppell area needs an HRIS Specialist to assist and provide support for the reporting, administration, maintenance, and support of all HRIS applications. You will maintain scalability and integrity of HR data architecture, develop recurring and/or ad-hoc reports to meet the requirements of management and staff, and other responsibilities revolving around data integrity, system security, and end user set up and training.

You will be the go-to person for HR staff, employees, and managers to resolve system related issues. You will also assist in identifying and developing the training needs of end users and provide the necessary training to meet those needs.

JOB DUTIES

  • Project managers ongoing enhancements and maintenance. Addresses and recommends changes to system to meet changing demands.
  • Act as liaison between HR, Benefits, Payroll and IT staff to ensure data requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Partners with IT employees to resolve issues regarding programming and functionality of the HRMS system.
  • Creates standard and complex HR reports on a routine basis and ad hoc special reports on an as-requested basis utilizing the Cognos, UltiPro, SQL database query tools, and MS desktop applications.
  • Under the direction of the Human Resources Director provide input for the formulation and implementation of strategies and plans to improve the HR system and associated processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Normally requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in human resources management, business administration, information systems and technology or related curriculum.
  • Normally requires 2-4 years related experience, including HRMS and reporting tool experience.
  • Prior experience implementing and maintain an Enterprise level HRIS and Payroll system.
  • Previous experience in utilizing independent judgement and discretion is paramount.
  • Advanced knowledge of UltiPro; a table-driven HR/PR application or equivalent hierarchical database system. Experience with report writing tools such as New Generation Software’s IQ, Crystal Reports or other similar software extraction and report writing tool.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience with MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Word; particularly experience with building and maintaining Excel macros and pivot tables, and other data import/export and reduction techniques.
  • Experience with effectively utilizing Microsoft Access and SQL, tables in creating and analyzing HR data.
  • The ability to effectively use Windows and the MS Office Professional Suite applications (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

SKILLS

  • Ability to provide recommendations for improvements, enhancements, and more effective data and system reporting.
  • Ability to serve as Human Resources department liaison with the IT department to resolve system problems and design modifications on IT related projects.
  • Ability to update and modify codes, tables, reports, and other systems applications to meet changing requirements of the company.
  • Ability to serve as a key point of contact for HRIS related questions and issues (e.g., system access, navigation, and other technical assistance.)
  • Ability to develop standard and custom reports to meet the reporting requirements of human resources, management and staff. Responds to ad hoc requests from managers for data and reports utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
  • Ability to provide end-user training, consultative support and technical assistance. Ensures data integrity and data reporting accuracy in systems by maintaining HRMS configuration data, running queries and regularly auditing all employee data in HR system for accuracy.
  • Ability to create user documentation usage and provide guidance to end users of HRMS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have strong detail orientated and analytical skills
  • Highly developed time management, planning and organizational skills
