Job Description

Manufacturing company in Edison, NJ needs a Human Resources Manager for Direct Hire.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and interaction with internal customers and external service providers; models Best Experience service in daily interactions; owns the site HR plan and processes related to the following:

Associate Relations and Communications
-Support managers and associates in consistent interpretation and enforcement of policies, procedures, and company practices, including as related to associate coaching/counseling activities.
-Responsible for bridging communication between HR and all other functional areas.

Staffing
-Convey needs to staffing agencies as appropriate Coordinate interviews and participate in interview process as appropriate
-Facilitate hiring decision to ensure best-fit candidate selection

Recognition & BEx Culture Support
-Lead and participate in the planning and execution of various associate activities and recognition events.
-Look for ways to provide unique, memorable experiences that reinforce Best Experience culture. 
-Obtain feedback regarding their service and incorporates customer feedback into their development plans and daily work. 

Environmental, Health & Safety
-Ensure OSHA compliance and recordkeeping and oversee Workers' Compensation, Hearing Conservation and medical supply management
-Serve as facility resource for company safety-related policies and procedures, ensuring consistent enforcement and making recommendations as appropriate

Financial
-Define and document individual processes within sphere of control
-Use forecasting tool to manage portion of facility Human Resource budget.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, HR management, or related field or Associate Degree with related 4 years’ experience working as a Human Resource Manager.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment required with related corporate experience preferred 
  • Must be a proactive, self-directed individual that meets deadlines and can adapt to changing priorities. Attention to detail is essential
  • Must possess strong software skills; proficiency and ability to train others in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Must be able to create complex presentations and other visual documents
  • Excellent written and oral communication with a facilitative style
  • Ability to engage in collaborative relationships with team members, stakeholders, and internal customers
  • Some  travel to Long Island City, NY site
  • Bilingual Spanish an advantage but not required.

Salary:
$70,000 -$ 75,000  DOE
Client is open to negotiate on salary depending on the candidate
