Job Description

Our client an innovative software company in Brooklyn, New York is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal sales representative should be comfortable speaking over the phone and via chat with prospective customers and will work to generate leads under the VP of Sales.

Core Qualifications:

  • Servicing existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by growing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Driving sales by establishing a high standard of sales and service initiatives through quality customer service and professional excellence
  • Maintaining an up-to-date technical knowledge of products and price lists in order to answer client inquiries, make product recommendations, and explain the uses and applications of full product line
  • Coordinating with sales and technical team to schedule live product demonstrations
  • Representing the company at conferences, trade shows, expositions, major industry events
  • Gathered product feedback and intelligence from customers
  • Assisting with sales operations including taking orders, handling packaging and shipping
  • Conducting outreach to existing customer base and potential customers

Desired Skills:

  • One year of sales experience or some level of customer service experience
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively exceptional phone etiquette
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Comfortable working in a hectic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on an individual basis and as part of a team
  • Open and approachable personality, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor is appreciated
  • Knowledge of Time and Attendance Systems and Biometrics a plus
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
  • Payroll Knowledge is helpful
  • Selling into HR Workforce Management is a plus
