Instrument Technician (1st Shift)

West Caldwell, NJ


VOLT Technical Services is seeking an Instrument Technician to work at our pharmaceutical client manufacturing site.  Come grow your career with this rapidly growing company!


  • Calibrate, document, troubleshoot, and repair/replace instrumentation for systems that measure and control level, temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, speed, time, and other process variables.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain production equipment.
  • Industrial experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proficient use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Provide electronic support to all departments.
  • Standing Majority of Day
  • Ability to lift or move more than 50 pounds
  • Ability to Gown for Manufacturing 
  • Ability to plan/estimate work and order parts.
  • Flexibility to work off-shift, weekends, holidays based on production schedule demands.


  • Minimum Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
  • 5+ years’ experience in computer analog and digital circuit manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of the application of electric instruments and temperature/humidity controls.
  • Prefer: ISA's Certified Control Systems Technician® (CCST®) 
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and SAP
  • Advanced use of tools and equipment
  • Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, Tyvek suit and other safety equipment as needed.
