Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Sr Software Systems Integration Engineer to join our client’s team in Aurora, CO; Sterling, VA; and Richardson, TX.

An Active US Government Security Clearance is required.

You are a collaborative and highly skilled Senior Software Systems Integration Engineer who is accomplished and experienced! Shaping the future defense of our world through technical ingenuity excites you.


  • Support the planning of integration activities; establish integration methods and techniques, define integration plans and sequences, develop integration requirements and write integration procedures and reports utilizing comprehensive knowledge of complex software and hardware subsystems
  • Participate in the conduct of integration activities; conduct integration, write integration reports and resolve any identified issues associated with the integration of software and hardware subsystems
  • Participate in integration and test readiness reviews, design reviews, and audits of integration and test programs and facilities
  • Utilize broad knowledge in integration engineering and apply understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record
  • Integration engineering experience on a software development contract
  • Experience preparing and executing integration procedures
  • Experience with test script or automation development
  • Enthusiastic and energetic performer able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and high visibility environment
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal oversight
  • Experience with systems engineering principles and activities

Desired Experience:

  • Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
  • Experience with ground station satellite domains (command and telemetry, flight dynamics or mission planning)
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Perl, CECIL)
  • Experience in an Agile or DevOps development environment
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating system
  • Experience with Java or C++

Education Requirements:

  • 6 years of experience with a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM;) or 4 years of experience with a MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM); or 14 years of experience in lieu of degree
