Great opportunity to work during the holidays! Plastic Manufacture is seeking an Inventory Cycle Count Clerk to assist with the year-end count.
Forklift experience is required
This is a seasonal position for 1-3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counting Inventory
- Observing Counting, Weighing and Material Handling procedures
- Training Operators on counting
- Understanding how Inventory Adjustments affect overall inventory
- Understanding how to trace previous and subsequent inventory transactions to arrive at current inventory
- Communication required for employees in all departments and functional areas
- Must clearly understand and perform all procedures and equipment per training and must attend all required training sessions (including safety training)
- Maintain compliance with company and OSHA policy in regards to operations and safety issues, including but not limited to: lockout/tagout procedures, proper use of PPE, and sharps discovery and handling.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ prior work experience in an Inventory Auditor, Material Handling or Cycle Count position. Previous experience in a fast-paced environment a plus.
- Demonstrated safe work habits and extensive knowledge of workplace safety is required.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and perform simple mathematics on a calculator is required, HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work 8 hours per days.
- Ability to lift, push, pull 10 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis required.
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator, hard hat, steel-toed shoes and other PPE required.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, squat, climb a ladder, bend, climb and reach on a regular basis is required.
- Previous experience driving forklifts and utilizing material handling equipment required.
Requirements:
- Must be available during entire December, including the 31st for inventory counting. Christmas day will be off for the holiday.
- Must be available/flexible to work overtime and “non-traditional” hours. On certain days, the candidate may be called in slightly later given that inventory activity will be limited.
