We are seeking an individual to fill a position as a IT Engineer with a local company here in Spokane WA.


  • Developing and maintaining enterprise level configuration and management systems for Microsoft Skype for Business on-prem, Skype Online, and focusing on migrations to Teams
  • Automation through scripting of common tasks and processes
  • Providing technical expertise in ensuring the voice and conference traffic is secure, reliable and provides an outstanding experience
  • Troubleshooting, researching, and resolving complex technical issues
  • Writing procedures and documentation for processes to aid in troubleshooting and review

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT technical or related field of study and 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex enterprise VoIP environments
  • Demonstrated expertise with Skype for Business on-prem as well as Skype Online and/or Teams
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory
  • Experience with VMware and/or Citrix desktop and server virtualization products
  • Experience with OS X, iOS and Android management desirable
  • Experience in using PowerShell, to run tasks, perform actions, and automate procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Exceptional communicator with both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to solve challenging technical problems with innovative solutions
  • Customer service oriented and approachable
  • US Citizen

Key Deliverables during contracted position:

  • Assist in daily operations to resolve incidents and maintain health of current Skype for Business deployment.  This includes attendance in our Daily Operations Meeting and participation as necessary when discussing incidents. This also includes following our change management procedures and processes.
  • Participate and provide recommendations in our adoption and configuration of Microsoft Teams while integrating with Skype for Business.  We will need to run both simultaneously while we plan and prepare for a full migration to Teams for Enterprise Voice.
  • Respond to off hours incidents as required in case of outages by the Network and Unified Communications Manager.
