Job Description

Volt is seeking a Kit and Assembler in Stoughton, Massachusetts! This opportunity is full time and pay is $13 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble cartons/boxes
  • Receives product, and stages area
  •  Fills out departmental paperwork for proper traceability
  • Weighs counts material to be put in stock and labels containers
  • Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of kit and assembly process
  • Puts specified amounts of material in bags, label as needed
  •  Assembles product together and  delivers product to other departments as needed
  • General housekeeping of warehouse and equipment

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: stand; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands & arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch and walk, talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to walk, talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Skills

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram from. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Computer/System Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and email.
